Electro-assisted regeneration of ion exchange resins

摘要: Electro-assisted regeneration (EAR) for the mixed bed of strongly acidic cation and weakly basic anion exchange resins with the Al(OH) suspension in a three-compartment cell was investigated. The desalination experiments were carried out to evaluate the characteristic of the regenerated mixed resins. Experimental results showed that the efficiency of resin regeneration was strictly dependent on the voltage, regeneration time, and feed regenerant flow rate. The amount of the effluent reached 50 times the volume of the resins bed, and the conductivity was less than 1.0 ?s/cm. Compared to the conventional ER, the total effluent volume of EAR was about 1000 mL more than that of ER under the same conditions, and the outlet conductivity was significantly lower. The desalination and regeneration reaction mechanisms of the mixed resins indicated the regeneration efficiency of resin with Al(OH) as the regenerant was much higher than that with HO.

Novel method for the preparation of Cs-containing FAU(Y) catalysts for aniline methylation

摘要: Cs-containing FAU(Y)-type zeolite catalysts were prepared by conventional and novel ion exchange procedures followed by incipient wetness impregnation with CsOH. The novel ion exchange procedure involved hydrothermal treatment of NaY zeolite in aqueous solution of CsCl at 140–200 °C for 6–24 h. The samples were characterized by low-temperature nitrogen adsorption, X-ray fluorescence analysis, X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Na, Al and Cs magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance, CO and NH -Temperature programmed desorption. The results show that hydrothermal treatment at 200 °C allows to obtain higher degrees of ion-exchange (up to 83%) with respect to conventional method giving maximum 66%–69%. Catalytic properties of Cs-containing FAU(Y) were studied in aniline methylation. The yield of -methylaniline is shown to correlate with catalyst’s basicity. The best catalyst performance was achieved over the catalyst with the highest ion-exchange degree impregnated with CsOH. The selectivity to -methylaniline over this catalyst reached 96.4%.

Condensation of phenol and acetone on a modified macroreticular ion exchange resin catalyst

摘要: Macroreticular ion exchange resin catalysts were prepared by suspension polymerization, and then modified by alkylmercaptoamines. The modified catalysts were characterized by N adsorption/desorption measurements, scanning electron microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. Key factors such as the mercaptan content, the degree of crosslinking and the structures of the promoters were investigated for the synthesis of Bisphenol A (BPA). At optimal conditions, the macroreticular ion exchange resin catalysts modified by alkylmercaptoamines showed high catalytic activity and selectivity for BPA synthesis.

新型通用离子交换膜的研究与实践

摘要:

基于离子交换膜的电膜技术,由于其独特的离子传递特性,可以进行离子物系的分离分级,在清洁生产、节能减排、环境保护、能量转换等方面有着广泛的应用前景。然而,目前国内相关均相离子膜产品尚处于起步阶段,以日本为首的国家对我国进行相关技术封锁和价格垄断。正是基于这样的产业背景和现实意义,开发出新型的均相离子膜制备路线尤为重要。本课题组提出了一种简单而通用的侧链型离子化芳香族聚合物的合成方法,即“离子单体聚酰基化”均相离子交换膜制备路线,并通过ATRP法来设计离子交换膜的主链憎水、侧链亲水的接枝结构,通过对接枝密度和接枝长度进行调节,实现对膜性能的调控,以满足不同的应用过程对膜性能的要求。此种均相离子交换膜的制备工艺及产业化生产攻关,可以打破以日本为首的国家对我国离子膜产品的技术封锁,实现具有我国自主知识产权的离子膜技术的产业化。制备条件温和、制备工艺简单、快捷,而且整个过程没有传统方法中常用的季铵化或磺化步骤,有效地简化工艺和降低环境污染,可用于扩散渗析、普通电渗析以及双极膜电渗析过程对高性能离子交换膜材料的需求。该系列离子交换膜在特种废水处理、有机酸生产、氨基酸分离纯化、重金属废水处理等诸多领域得到了广泛的使用,均取得了较为满意的使用效果。

离子分离用电荷Janus结构单价选择性阳离子交换膜 Article

摘要:

单价选择性阳离子交换膜(M-CEMs)已被广泛应用于环境修复和能量收集等领域,例如,从卤水和海水中提取Na+或Li+。然而,由于膜结构和材料的限制,M-CEMs存在渗透选择性低的问题。在此,我们提出了一种简单的方法以构建具有电荷Janus结构的新型M-CEMs,该结构由荷正电的均苯三甲酸/聚乙烯亚胺选择层和荷负电的商业阳离子交换膜(CEM)组成。选择性电渗析(SED)分析结果表明,具有电荷Janus结构的M-CEMs可以有效抑制多孔阳离子交换膜中存在的阴离子迁移问题,因而使这种具有电荷Janus结构的M-CEMs具有较高的渗透选择性和总阳离子通量。与最先进的单价选择性阳离子交换膜的分离性能相比,具有电荷Janus结构的M-CEMs对于Na+/Mg2+的最高渗透选择性可以达到145.77,这超过了目前单价选择性阳离子交换膜性能的“上限”,且对于Li+/Mg2+也具有优异的渗透选择性(14.11),在离子分离领域具有巨大的应用潜力。这项研究可以为具有电荷Janus结构的M-CEMs的设计提供新的见解,并应用于不同的环境和能源领域。

Removal of Zn

摘要: Biosorption of Zn from aqueous solutions by biomass of was investigated. The removal rates of Zn by under different parameters (e.g., solution pH, bio-sorbent dosage and initial Zn concentration) were studied. The inhibition of ’s biosorption by anionic ligands EDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetraacetic Acid), acetate and citrate) implied that EDTA and citrate might be used as eluting reagents. Regular and simultaneous solution pH change and light metal ions release after biosorption indicated that an ion exchange mechanism was involved. From FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared) spectroscopy, the main functional groups participated in biosorption were found. Biosorption of Zn by could be well described by the Freundlich and Langmuir models. In conclusion, the biomass of showed high potential for the treatment of wastewater containing Zn .

Structural engineering of transition metal-based nanostructured electrocatalysts for efficient water splitting

摘要: Water splitting is a highly promising approach for the generation of sustainable, clean hydrogen energy. Tremendous efforts have been devoted to exploring highly efficient and abundant metal oxide electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution and hydrogen evolution reactions to lower the energy consumption in water splitting. In this review, we summarize the recent advances on the development of metal oxide electrocatalysts with special emphasis on the structural engineering of nanostructures from particle size, composition, crystalline facet, hybrid structure as well as the conductive supports. The special strategies relay on the transformation from the metal organic framework and ion exchange reactions for the preparation of novel metal oxide nanostructures with boosting the catalytic activities are also discussed. The fascinating methods would pave the way for rational design of advanced electrocatalysts for efficient water splitting.

Long-lasting photoluminescence quantum yield of cesium lead halide perovskite-type quantum dots

摘要: Cesium lead halide perovskite (CsPbX , X= Cl, Br, I) quantum dots (QDs) and their partly Mn -substituted QDs (CsPb Mn X ) attract considerable attention owing to their unique photoluminescence (PL) efficiencies. The two types of QDs, having different PL decay dynamics, needed to be further investigated in a form of aggregates to understand their solid-state-induced exciton dynamics in conjunction with their behaviors upon degradation to achieve practical applications of those promising QDs. However, thus far, these QDs have not been sufficiently investigated to obtain deep insights related to the long-term stability of their PL properties as aggregated solid-states. Therefore, in this study, we comparatively examined CsPbX - and CsPb Mn X -type QDs stocked for>50 d under dark ambient conditions by using excitation wavelength-dependent PL quantum yield and time-resolved PL spectroscopy. These investigations were performed with powder samples in addition to solutions to determine the influence of the inter-QD interaction of the aged QD aggregates on their radiative decays. It turns out that the Mn -substituted QDs exhibited long-lasting PL quantum efficiencies, while the unsubstituted CsPbX -type QDs exhibited a drastic reduction of their PL efficiencies. And the obtained PL traces were clearly sensitive to the sample status. This is discussed with the possible interaction depending on the size and distance of the QD aggregates.

Purification and crystallization of xylitol from fermentation broth of corncob hydrolysates

摘要: Xylitol, a five-carbon sugar alcohol, is a valuable sugar substitute, and widely used in the pharmaceutical, odontological and food industry due to its interesting properties. In the past decades, the xylitol industry has grown rapidly and more attention has been focused on xylitol purification, which possesses an important proportion of the whole industry. In our paper, the purification and crystallization of xylitol fermentation broth by biotechnology using corncob hydrolysates as substance were studied. An initial xylitol fermentation broth was decolored with activated carbon (1% M-1, 60°C, 165rpm), desalted with a combination of two ion-exchange resins (732 and D301), and residual sugars were separated with UBK-555(Ca). Then the solution was vacuum-concentrated up to supersaturation (750g/L xylitol). After adding 1% xylitol crystal seeds, the supersaturated solution was cooled to −20°C for 48h. The crystalline xylitol of a regular tetrahedral shape with purity 95% and crystallization yield 60.2% was obtained from the clarified xylitol fermentation broth. An intact, economical and environmental-friendly route of purification and crystallization of xylitol from fermentation of corncob hydrolysates was obtained, and its experimental procedure and data provided a sound basis for large-scale industrial production.

含铜黄连素制药废水预处理与资源化技术研究

摘要:

针对化学合成制药含铜黄连素废水特点,设计了铁碳微电解和离子交换组合工艺为预处理工艺,开展了小试与中试试验研究。结果表明,采用铁碳微电解池-离子交换柱组合工艺连续处理初始CODCr浓度为60 000~80 000 mg/L、黄连素浓度为1 700~1 900 mg/L、Cu2+浓度为12 000~18 000 mg/L的含铜黄连素制药废水,小试试验对黄连素和Cu2+的去除率都在99.0 %以上,出水黄连素和Cu2+在1.0 mg/L和0.5 mg/L以下。中试试验对CODCr的去除率在44.0 %以上,Cu2+的去除率超过79.0 %。处理每吨水可回收12~13 kg铜。该工艺有较好的废水预处理效果,实现了金属铜资源化回收,可有效减少对后续废水生化处理工艺的压力。

Nexus between polymer support and metal oxide nanoparticles in hybrid nanosorbent materials (HNMs) for sorption/desorption of target ligands

摘要: Metal oxide nanoparticles like hydrated ferric oxide (HFO) or hydrated zirconium oxide (HZrO) are excellent sorbents for environmentally significant ligands like phosphate, arsenic, or fluoride, present at trace concentrations. Since the sorption capacity is surface dependent for HFO and HZrO, nanoscale sizes offer significant enhancement in performance. However, due to their miniscule sizes, low attrition resistance, and poor durability they are unable to be used in typical plug-flow column setups. Meanwhile ion exchange resins, which have no specific affinity toward anionic ligands, are durable and chemically stable. By impregnating metal oxide nanoparticles inside a polymer support, with or without functional groups, a hybrid nanosorbent material (HNM) can be prepared. A HNM is durable, mechanically strong, and chemically stable. The functional groups of the polymeric support will affect the overall removal efficiency of the ligands exerted by the Donnan Membrane Effect. For example, the removal of arsenic by HFO or the removal of fluoride by HZrO is enhanced by using anion exchange resins. The HNM can be precisely tuned to remove one type of contaminant over another type. Also, the physical morphology of the support material, spherical bead versus ion exchange fiber, has a significant effect on kinetics of sorption and desorption. HNMs also possess dual sorption sites and are capable of removing multiple contaminants, namely, arsenate and perchlorate, concurrently.
